Spring into a Good Time at Lark in the Park - New Orleans City Park

Spring into a Good Time at Lark in the Park

City Park Conservancy (CPC) will celebrate City Park’s spring awakening with its signature seasonal fundraiser, Lark in the Park presented by Capital One, on Friday, March 8. The annual event treats guests to a glamorous gathering featuring live music, delectable dishes from restaurants across the city, and specialty cocktails within the New Orleans Botanical Garden and the Pavilion of the Two Sisters.

VIP guests will start the evening in the Botanical Garden with an exclusive preview party at 7pm featuring live entertainment from Geovane Santos. The gala begins at 8pm with a scintillating performance of funk and soul hits by Raw Deal, composed of world-class Grammy-nominated musicians offering a performance that will ignite the night.

“In addition to being one heck of a party, Lark in the Park has been vital to Park preservation for four decades now,” said CPC President and CEO Cara Lambright. “We cannot wait to kick off the spring season with this fundraiser while simultaneously supporting important initiatives.”

Lark in the Park will mark the beginning of CPC’s Protect the Park campaign. The spring initiative aims to create awareness about the Park’s litter-abatement efforts and educate the public on the importance of maintaining cleanliness in City Park’s vast greenspace. CPC counts on its guests to help Protect the Park by taking responsibility for their own trash and lending a helping hand in cleaning up when they see litter to ensure that the next visitor can enjoy the natural beauty of the Park.

Composting and recycling at Lark in the Park is made possible through a lead gift from Cox Communications with support from the Greener Grounds Grant by Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB), the state’s premier anti-litter and community improvement organization.

Since 1982, funds raised at Lark in the Park have provided year-round care for the historic trees, gardens, family-friendly playgrounds, nature trails, as well cultural and recreational amenities across the 1,300 acres.

General Admission, Friends of City Park Member, and Party Flock tickets, as well as multiple sponsorship opportunities, are available for purchase. For more information on all, click HERE.
