The Best Dog Park In New Orleans

NOLA City Bark restrooms and water station are temporarily closed. The water feature by the hydrant remains available for use.

NOLA City Bark is a 4.6-acre keycard-access dog park that offers a fun place to exercise the canine members of your family.

Our 5-paw dog park includes:
  • Separate play areas for small and big dogs
  • Water fountains, shade pavilions and on-site restrooms
  • Water play area and doggie pools
  • Mutt Mitts for easy clean-up

Entrance to the dog park requires a permit to ensure that all dogs have been properly vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Always follow NOLA City Bark rules and regulations. In the event of an incident, report to the NOLA City Bark office (504-483-9380, [email protected]) – outside of business hours, contact City Park Police (504-421-9307).

To ensure the best member experience at the City Park Conservancy Administration Building, our in-person membership hours are Thursdays, 1–5pm.

Feel free to stop by 1 Palm Drive during these hours if you need assistance with membership renewals, questions, or anything else. Please note that our furry friends are not allowed within the building.

Temporary permits are great if you are unsure if your dog is ready for NOLA City Bark or if you are visiting New Orleans with your pet. These permits can be transferred to an annual permit if you decide the dog park is right for you and your pet.

Foster permits are FREE and are issued in monthly increments only. Your foster dog must wear some signifier of their adoptable status (collar, harness or bandana) at all times while within the park.

Temporary and foster permit holders will be given an electronic swipe card, which must be returned to the City Park Conservancy Administration Office at the end of the week or 14-day use. NOLA City Bark swipe cards may be picked up at 1 Palm Drive Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Please note approval is not immediate and will require at least one business day to process.
