Frequently Asked Questions

Membership Updates & Upgrades

You may upgrade your Friends of City Park membership at any time during your membership term by paying the difference between your current level and your desired level. Your membership expiration date will remain the same.

If you need to update your name, mailing address, email address, or other account information, please contact the Friends of City Park office at 504-483-9380.

For memberships that include a second named adult, changes may be made at the time of renewal. To help maintain accurate membership records, we are unable to change the second named adult during an active membership term. If you anticipate bringing different guests throughout the year, we recommend selecting a membership level that includes guest privileges rather than designating a second named adult.

Membership Sharing & Guest Access

Memberships are intended for one household and are non-transferable. Benefits may only be used by the named member(s) associated with the membership. If your membership includes guest privileges, you are welcome to bring guests with you during your visit; however, guests may not use membership benefits or enter using your membership without the named member present.

To ensure memberships are used appropriately, a valid photo ID may be requested when membership benefits are redeemed.

Memberships cannot be shared between individuals living at different addresses. We encourage each household to maintain its own Friends of City Park membership to enjoy year-round access, benefits, and support for City Park.

Additional Named Adult & Guest Privileges

Many Friends of City Park membership levels allow you to designate a second named adult, giving that individual the same membership privileges as the primary member. A second named adult may visit and use membership benefits independently.

If your membership includes guest privileges, you may choose to leave the second named adult field blank and instead bring a guest of your choice when visiting. Guests must always be accompanied by the named member.

To maintain accurate membership records, changes to a second named adult may be made at the time of membership renewal only and cannot be changed during an active membership term.

Check Status of Friends of City Park Membership

You can view your membership status, benefits, and digital membership card anytime through the City Park Portal. Simply log in using your primary email address associated with your Friends of City Park membership. View the step-by-step instructions here.

Discounted Ticket Benefits

Discounted tickets are available based on the number of individuals covered by your membership level. Individual Members may purchase one (1) discounted ticket, while Family Members may purchase up to eight (8) discounted tickets. Membership discounts are limited to the number of people included in your membership benefits.

How Can I Buy a Membership For a Friend?

Purchasing a Friends of City Park Membership Gift Voucher is simple and convenient. Gift Vouchers can be purchased online and work much like a gift card, allowing recipients to activate the membership when it is most convenient for them.

Gift Vouchers are emailed directly to the purchaser and can be forwarded to the recipient or printed for gifting.

• Gift Vouchers are valid for two years from the date of purchase
• Please treat Gift Vouchers like cash, as lost or misplaced vouchers cannot be replaced
• Vouchers may be redeemed in person or by phone at 504-483-9380
• New memberships and renewals begin on the date the voucher is redeemed
• If redeemed for an existing membership, the voucher will extend that membership by one year
• Gift Vouchers are non-refundable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and may only be used toward a Friends of City Park Membership
