With your help, we can make a difference.

AN UPDATE FROM CITY PARK CEO  | With your help, we can make a difference.

As we reflect on this past year, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to you, our loyal supporters. We’ve faced enormous challenges over the last 11 months and are proud of the role City Park has played in the community, from providing a respite from the pandemic to staging support for disaster recovery efforts.

At this time of reflection, I know I’m personally grateful for the amazing City Park team. Since the pandemic began, and more recently during Hurricane Ida, our dedicated staff and volunteers have supported one another and our mission of bringing the best possible Park experience for the thousands of daily Park guests. During these overwhelming times, they continued to help one another, work beyond their normal scope of duties, give their best, and think creatively to ensure the betterment of City Park for our community. City Park is people-powered. We cannot care for this thriving urban greenspace without you.

Your year-end support is more impactful than ever as we recover not only from the continued effects of the pandemic, but also Hurricane Ida. While we receive some reimbursement from FEMA and insurance, the impact to our bottom line has been significant. The storm highlighted the need for continued investment in expanding staff, including growing a robust in-house conservation program to nurture our urban tree canopy. Please consider a year-end gift today by clicking here and invest in a sustainable future for City Park.

There have been, and continue to be, many reminders along the way that the Park is playing a critical role for the community, and we are honored by the opportunity to care for City Park. Whether a financial contribution or volunteering your time, we thank you for the support you have given this past year and are honored to count you as a partner. With your help, we can make a difference.

Best wishes for 2022,

Cara Lambright
Chief Executive Officer
New Orleans City Park
