Spring into April with the Return of Evenings with Enrique

Evenings with Enrique presented by The Helis Foundation returns April 1 to the New Orleans Botanical Garden! City Park Conservancy and The Helis Foundation invite visitors to celebrate the life and legacy of renowned artist Enrique Alférez, with live musical performances, art, and culture every Wednesday in April from 5-7:30pm.

The Garden will extend its hours, offering all Louisiana residents free entry, courtesy of The Helis Foundation. Attendees will revel in the lively beats of local artists and ensembles while savoring dishes prepared by Chef White at the Kitchen in the Garden.

Launched in 2016, Evenings with Enrique presented by The Helis Foundation occurs every April and October to celebrate acclaimed Mexican American sculptor Enrique Alférez, whose work has become a defining part of New Orleans’ visual landscape. More than 20 of his pieces are displayed in The Helis Foundation Enrique Alférez Sculpture Garden, located within the Botanical Garden, with additional works found throughout the city in major museums and public spaces.

Evenings with Enrique is accessible to all Louisiana residents through The Helis Foundation’s Art for All initiative, which provides free admission on select days for all residents at several of New Orleans’ leading cultural institutions, including the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Louisiana Children’s Museum, the Contemporary Art Center, and the New Orleans African American Museum.
