Spring Garden Show Blooms at Botanical Garden

City Park Conservancy (CPC) invites you to spring into the New Orleans Botanical Garden.
On Saturday, April 11, the 10-acre greenspace will be filled with gardening gurus from all over the southeast when the Spring Garden Show returns to New Orleans City Park. The dynamic day features over 50 vendors exhibiting common and exotic plants as well as various gardening paraphernalia.
“Spring has sprung in the Botanical Garden, and we’re so excited to open our gates and show everything we have to offer,” said CPC Botanical Garden Director Kyre Rassamni. “In addition to the booths spread all throughout the Garden, we’ll have speakers in Garden Study Center, a flower show in the Pavilion of the Two Sisters, food available for purchase outside the Conservatory of the Two Sisters and more!”
Gardeners of all levels will experience everything the horticultural event has to offer including plant sales, educational programs, arts & crafts, cooking demonstrations, live music, and the Botanical Garden itself in all its vibrant spring glory. Specialists, Master Gardeners and CPC personnel will also be on hand to answer all questions.
Tickets can be purchased in advance here. Friends of City Park – CPC’s principal membership program – Members receive free admission. By supporting events like the Spring Garden Show, you help sustain and enhance CPC’s mission to preserve and improve City Park spaces for recreational, educational, cultural and beautification purposes.
Pelican Greenhouse will be one of the vendors on hand on Saturday offering annuals, perennials, succulents, tropicals and more. Outside of the Spring Garden Show, Pelican Greenhouse will host plant sales May 9, June 13, September 12 and November 7 – from 8am-3pm – at 2 Celebration Drive as well as once a month at the Crescent City Farmers Market located in the City Putt Plaza.
The annual spring show is sponsored by CPC and LSU AgCenter’s Cooperative Extension Service. The event is supported by Louisiana Master Gardener volunteers.
