City Park Conservancy (CPC) will offer months of fun for the whole family at Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, City Putt and Storyland. Each unique event brings excitement to summer and supports CPC’s mission to preserve and enhance one of the nation’s largest urban parks for recreation, education, culture and natural beauty.
Storyland Storytime – May 28-July 30
Thursdays from 10:30-11:30am | Storyland
Kickstart your summer reading and take a trip to Storyland where families are invited to attend a special story hour every Thursday in New Orleans’ own enchanted playground! CPC team members will read the story of the day at the Storyland Castle, followed by activities such as crafting, freeze dances, scavenger hunts and more. Storytime is included with admission to Storyland (free for children under 36” and Friends of City Park Members; $8 for 36” and over). For more information, click here.

City Putt Summer League – June 11-July 30
Thursdays | City Putt
The City Putt League pits putt-putt miniature-golf teams of 2-4 against one another in weekly contests. The eight-week league will feature brackets for youth and adult leagues and alternate between City Putt’s 18-hole New Orleans and Louisiana courses. Weekly prizes are awarded, and the season champion will take home tickets to City Park’s most beloved attractions, including Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and New Orleans Botanical Garden. Glow in the Oaks – Saturday, July 11
7-10pm | Carousel Gardens Amusement Park
This family friendly event is sure to be the most ‘lit’ night of the summer! Guests are treated to unlimited rides, a silent disco, glow-item giveaways, a TikTok photo booth, glitter bar and face paint, the Reptile Krewe and free, unlimited lemonade in color-changing cups. Food and drinks, including Parker’s Pizza and Mo Fries, available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to dress to shine and bring bright energy. Tickets are $35.
