Hat Luncheon to Support City Park and Beyond

Bust out those big hats for a good cause.

On Wednesday, April 30, City Park Conservancy (CPC) and the New Orleans Town Gardeners (NOTG) – a member of the Garden Club of America – will host the Heart of the Park Hat Luncheon presented by First Horizon Bank. The annual event is a vibrant celebration, and critical fundraiser, for both CPC and NOTG complete with festive garden-cocktail attire and seated luncheon in the New Orleans Botanical Garden and the Pavilion of the Two Sisters.

“There really is no better, or more important, afternoon in the Park than the Hat Luncheon,” said CPC President and CEO and Rebecca Dietz. “The funds raised at this spectacular daytime event help preserve, and sustain, our majestic urban forest and ensure important community programs remain intact – and it’s a good time!”

The Hat Luncheon features a patron reception at 11am in the Botanical Garden followed by a seated luncheon in the Pavilion of the Two Sisters. Included in the afternoon is a virtual auction featuring themed experiences.

“We look forward to this beautiful day in the Botanical Garden each year,” said Virginia Rowan, President of NOTG. “The support is so heartwarming, and we are thrilled to be sold out.”

Heart of the Park Hat Luncheon presented by First Horizon Bank will benefit the care of City Park’s historic urban forest, and the community programs supported by the NOTG. This innovative partnership between CPC and NOTG has provided invaluable support for our community since its inception in 2018.

This year’s featured guest speaker is designer, author and entrepreneur India Hicks. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with Hicks and enjoy engaging conversations and cocktails with fellow patrons. Signed copies of Hicks’ latest book, Lady Pamela, will be available for purchase.

The 2025 Heart of the Park Hat Luncheon is chaired by Alicia Higginbotham, Kate Zibilich Holcolmb, M.D., Mary Wyatt Milano, and Katherine Saulsbury. To learn more, and join the event waitlist, click here.
