City Park is starting summer with a BANG!
Happy 3rd of July, one of the region’s hottest events, returns to the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn on Thursday, July 3. The festivities begin at 6pm with patriotic programming featuring the Marine Forces Reserve Band, singalongs and appearances by Captain America and Wonder Woman. The evening culminates with fabulous fireworks atop the Peristyle at 9pm.
“Happy 3rd of July has become the City Park signifier that summer has officially started,” said City Park Conservancy President and CEO Rebecca Dietz. “We love hosting this annual event, and we’re honored so many from the community choose to spend the holiday at City Park.”
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs, and arrive early, to enjoy this free community event. Beer, snowballs, soft drinks, water and wine will be available on site for purchase – Chick-fil-A, La Cocinita and Tangerine Kitchen will also be on hand. Friends of City Park Members enjoy exclusive access to City Putt restrooms for the number of individuals in their membership level – proof of active membership required.
City Park Conservancy will once again offer sponsorship opportunities for groups and organizations. Packages include an 8’ x 8’ space, complimentary beverages, and access to indoor restrooms. New this year will be the Liberty Lounge presented by Southern Eagle offering guests a relaxed and shaded space to enjoy the concert and a wide selection of beverages.
