It’s festival season at the New Orleans Botanical Garden.
On Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, the Botanical Garden will – once again – be alive with gardening gurus from all over the southeast when the Fall Garden Festival returns to New Orleans City Park. The two-day event features over 50 vendors exhibiting common and exotic plants as well as various gardening paraphernalia.
“Any time we can open our garden gates to such a large group, we’re ecstatic,” said City Park Conservancy Director of Botanical Gardens Kyre Rassamni. “The Fall Garden Festival will set the tone for an exciting season at the Park, and we cannot wait to get started.”
Gardeners of all levels will experience everything the horticultural event has to offer including plant sales, educational programs, arts & crafts, cooking demonstrations by chefs Matthew Kopfler and Jas Rogers, and the Botanical Garden itself in all its vibrant fall glory. Specialists, Master Gardeners and New Orleans Botanical Garden personnel will also be on hand to answer all questions.
The annual fall fundraiser is presented in partnership with the LSU AgCenter and Louisiana Master Gardeners. Tickets can be purchased in advance here or on site. Friends of City Park – the Conservancy’s principal membership program that seeks to connect Park-loving individuals and community minded organizations – Members receive free admission.
