100 Years of City Park Athletics
A Community Call for Photos & Stories
Athletics have been part of City Park’s story for more than 100 years. From Friday night lights to early morning practices, from marching bands to championship moments, these experiences have shaped generations of New Orleanians.
To celebrate this milestone, City Park Conservancy invites former and current athletes, coaches, band members, cheerleaders, dance team members and officials to share photos and short stories from their time participating in athletics in City Park.
Selected submissions will be featured online leading up to City Park’s annual fundraiser, Lark in the Park, and showcased during the event as part of a special City Park Athletics Hall of Fame experience.
What to submit
- 1-3 photos taken in City Park
- A short story (50-150 words) sharing a meaningful athletic memory
Who can submit
- Athletes
- Coaches, trainers, and officials
- Band members, cheerleaders, and dance teams
As a thank you, approved submissions will receive either two tickets to Lark in the Park (21+) or tickets to Carousel Gardens Amusement Park.
Submissions are accepted until capacity is reached.
